Weston and Cambria--the day they came home from the NICU

Our beautiful girls

Our handsome boys

Our babies in their car seats recently--it's amazing how well
they fill out their car seats now in comparison to when they
came home from the NICU.

All of our babies are about 20 pounds and they'll be 1- year olds soon!!! So, Jeremiah and I need to start searching for forward facing car seats. Please let me know what car seat you all recommend we get.

HOW CRAZY! THEY WERE SOO TINY! I HAVE A GRACO SEAT THAT WE GOT FOR JADA WHEN SHE WAS JUST OVER A YEAR OLD THAT IS KINDA THE "LUXURY" VERSION- VERY PADDED, CUP HOLDERS, ETX...WE DECIDED TO BUY ANOTHER CAR SEAT TO HAVE IN OUR OTHER VEHICLE SO WE DIDN'T HAVE TO SWITCH THE CARSEAT OVER-- WE GOT JUST A $50 COSCO BRAND ONE FROM WAL-MART (CARSEAT/BOOSTER)-- IT SITS LOWER, NOT AS PADDED-- BUT TO TELL YOU THE TRUTH-- I ALMOST LIKE IT BETTER-- EASIER TO MOVE AND DOESN'T TAKE UP AS MUCH ROOM-- I SUGGEST GETTING THE CARSEAT THAT FITS 20-80 LBS-- THAT WAY YOU DON'T FIND YOURSELF BUYING A NEW ONE ONCE THEY PASS 40 LBS...

OK. I'm a blog stalker, but I have to agree with the comment above about the Britax Marathon. We have two of them (I have twins). They're great because they can go backward facing for babies(and even recline) as well as face forward. And they have a 65 pound weight limit so they'll last a long time. They have a really high consumer reports rating for safety, too.

Your kids are darling!

By the way, I found you through Leah Davis (she's in my ward).

Hello...just wanted to say that I am a carseat tech. I wanted to tell you, that 1 yr and 20 pounds is the bare minimum to turn a child forward facing! We now reccomend keeping them rear facing in convertible seats until the rf weight limit on the specific seat!

Some of the good seats around now are the Graco MyRide65 (rf 5-40 ff 20-65) Radian XT (rf 5-45 ff 20-65 or 80) True Fit Premiere (rf 5-35 ff 20-65)! And thats just to name a few!

Heres a fact for you, since you have 4 beautiful babies to buy new seats for!- just because 1 seat is $300 and another is $40, it doesn't mean the more expensive one is safer and many people think this! No, all seats are crash tested the same! The higher priced seats just have more bells and whistles!
