The Tremendous Twos are Here!!

This is how we all feel at the end of a day. Life with four two year olds is fun and very tiring.
Brynlee, Addison, Weston and Cambria have turned two years old! We had a fun birthday party for them on their big day--June 6th!! I can't believe that they are already two, but they are definitely showing that they are two. Sweet, fun-loving, busy, tantruming, messy and into everything these days. I thought that in this post I would give many examples of them showing that they are two! I don't want to call this age the terrible twos because it's really not terrible, it's just tremendous! Tremendously fun, exhausting, messy and busy!

When you have four kids the same age it gets pretty crazy because what one kid thinks of the others copy. They've all started pulling off their diapers during nap time and it is so disturbing. We've been using duct tape to keep them on, but on Saturday we ran out so I used painter's tape and boy was that a mistake. Painter's tape does NOT stay on diapers!! I heard some fussing during nap time and I entered the girls' room to find this horrific mess:

Can you believe that such a sweet thing could do such a gross thing?!

I was not very happy with Brynlee or Cambria. At least Cambria didn't go to the bathroom in her crib, but still--the mess is just awful. I put Brynlee in Cambria's crib while I cleaned up Bryn's crib.

Onto happier times...here's a cute picture of Cambria at the splash pad. She loved it!

Here's Brynlee with water spilled all over her. The kids are into grabbing everything they can off the counter tops and spilling it all over.

Here's Cambria loving playing in the mud outside! To be two again!

The kids just love playing with their cousins, Spencer, Smith, McCray, Isabelle and Malia. It's so fun to have them and my sister, Jeannine and her husband, John so close by. They love being pulled around in their wagon. Here's McCray doing the task.

It's so fun because now that the kids are two they can play at the park without me worrying constantly that they're going to fall off because they now know how to go down the slide by themselves!

Weston loves the swings!

Bubble time is always a favorite activity around our house...

the gals
Brynlee is in heaven. She's always asking for "bubble."

All of the kids absolutely love the phone. They are always walking around with play phones and talking on them. It's so cute!

Here's Cambria talking on two different phones!!

We're trying to have the kids have snack time at their little table and chairs. They love it, but sometimes it's just easier to sprinkle cheerios or goldfish on the floor for them to pick at like little birds.

Weston and Bryn

Cambria is the only one sitting at the table like a good girl!

Isn't she a cutie?!

The kids have figured out light switches!! It's hard to be changing someone's diaper in the dark because the other child has just turned out the lights!!

Cutie Cambria

Bubble time outside with Daddy. The kids love playing in the back yard.

Personality plus girl!
Here's Weston trying to get in the doll's stroller! He's such a sweet boy!

Brynlee is either really happy, really mad or really sad. Here she is having one of her tantrums...

Addison loves to hide anywhere--even under chairs.

We took the kids to their first splash pad and they had a blast!! I was shocked because they actually kept their sunglasses on for most of the time!!

Addison was a little nervous about the water fountains at first and then he got right in the water after a while.

Weston absolutely loved the fountains!

Bryn is all smiles!

The kids love playing outside. Here's Brynlee with a broom--just sweeping the grass.

I love this picture of Cambria and Weston peeking through the grape vine planter. Such cutie pies!

The kids have this awful habit of putting dirt and rocks in their mouths--especially Weston. I found Cambria with this in her mouth!

One of the kids favorite activities to do outside is collect rocks in the buckets. Here's Cambria

Addison is just such a sweet boy and just so laid back. It's so nice to have a kid like him!

I love this picture of Brynlee

Sweet and lady-like Cambria

The kids love to do somersault. Brynlee started everyone else in this activity.

Cambria and Weston have a little obsession with shoes. They love putting on any shoes they can find. It's so cute!

We had a fun playdate at my friend Shelby's house and her triplets. The kids loved their water table.

The kids have learned to push, steal toys, bite, whine, etc. It's not so great!. Lots of time outs are happening around here.

Weston with my high heels on!!

Cambria tried them on also!!

Addison and Weston playing a "lovely" duet on the piano. I love this picture! Such handsome little men!!

Bathtime is always a favorite activity. I try not to bathe all four together very often. It gets a little too crazy and wet!

The kids found a leaky sprinkler in the back yard and had a grand time playing in the mud.

Here's our buddy Weston.

Here's Brynlee

The kids were such a mess, but it brought several moments of peace and happiness into our home so it was worth it!

Weston has become our very busy boy! We kept finding him on top of the toy chest. He's just into everything exploring. As you can see he was pretty proud of himself!

I loved this picture with the kids with their sunglasses on for five seconds. The kids love their walks. Too bad it's getting so hot now in AZ!

Weston got himself stuck in grandpa and grandma's kitchen chair. What a guy!

Another fun play date at Shelby's house. The kids had a blast playing on their large water toy. I was shocked to see them zooming down the slide and loving it!

Here's Addison, Cambria, Weston and Karina's two kids.

There goes Addison

There's goes Cambria

There goes Weston

Brynlee didn't want to have anything to do with that toy!

More park fun!

Very Belated Post!!

It's been way too long since I have posted! Life with four almost two year olds (they'll be 2 Saturday!) has pretty much consumed all of my moments and I haven't made time to update our blog. I have so many cute pictures from the last 7 months of the kids, but I will just post something simple to finally actually do a post. It's been on my to-do list for 7 months!!
Here are some pictures of the kids and Jeremiah and me from his 34th b-day on April 17th! A week later we celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary on April 24th! And there are some other random pictures from other times in April and May.

I put these signs on the kids' backs when Jeremiah got home from work on his birthday.

Weston with Jeremiah's gift to me on our anniversary. What an appropriate sign for him to be holding!

Our beautiful little ladies with Nelly. Nelly has been our nanny for the last 8 months, but she's going back to Mexico tomorrow. We will miss her so much. She's so wonderful!!This picture pretty much sums up our life the last few months. Lots and lots of messes made by four very busy kids. This swept up mess happened while I was talking on the phone and making dinner--not a good idea. Before I noticed, the kids had brought lots of dirt and sidewalk chalk in the house and dumped it all over the kitchen floor. Cambria, Addison, Weston and Brynlee really are so much fun!!! (And exhausting!)

Oh, what do you do in the summertime?!

Here's just a flashback to July of this year. Arizona is very toasty in the summer and this is one of the activities that we did with the babies to survive the indoor entrapment. I set up a blow up baby pool in the back yard, but we didn't do this very often because while the babies were nice and cool splashing in the water, I was melting in the AZ heat!Cambria

Addison always loves to have something in his mouth--his finger, a toy or food.

Nursery Here We Come!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure you couldn't tell from the title of this post how excited I am that my babies entered into nursery at church on Sunday!! It was so thrilling! Weston and Cambria were in one nursery and Brynlee and Addison were in the other. Everyone did great except for Addison. Addison cried for his parents, so I spent the two hours in nursery with him. Everyone else could care less about mommy and daddy not being there. That's pretty great odds! It's interesting how Addison just got stranger anxiety about 3 weeks ago and how my Cambria got stranger anxiety many months ago. When you have four babies at once, it's fascinating to see how different they are and how differently they develop from each other and at what speeds they do everything. It's so nice not to have to chase our babies around the church building any more! I love the nursery program! I can't believe they are already 18 months! Jeremiah and I agreed that we will take turns if Addison needs us sitting in nursery with him, sooooo, next Sunday I can finally get some spiritual enrichment at church!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving! We have much to be grateful for!

We had a great Thanksgiving this year at grandma and grandpa Cluff's house with Jeremiah's sisters and their families and Jeremiah's aunt and uncle and their families. In the morning we went on a family walk on the canal with my sister Jeannine and her family. Unfortunately, right before we walked out the door, Brynlee tripped over her feet and hit her head on the corner of a door jam. She got the hugest goose egg on her forehead and the day before she got a black eye in the bath tub when she hit her eye on Cambria's head. This is the age of accidents! You can't tell very well from this picture, but Brynlee has a large goose egg forming on her forehead and a black eye.

Here are the boys before our walk. On our walk with the Pearts it started to rain. We ended up running back to the house for the remainder of the walk in the pouring down rain.

Jeremiah and I realized that Thanksgiving will never be the same with kids as it was before. Having four hungry babies to feed isn't exactly relaxing. Here's Brynlee in grandma and grandpa's old high chair that Jeremiah used to eat in. She loved the rolls!
Here's Cambria enjoying her roll.

Here's Addison and Weston enjoying their meal. I know you're wondering why they have pink bibs on. These are the best bibs for catching food that falls from their mouth and hands and I got them from my sister and all she had was pink. The Thanksgiving dinner was delicious. I make a broccoli and cauliflower salad every year we have Thanksgiving with the Cluffs.

The kids' favorite part of the day was playing outside in grandma and grandpa's large back yard. Grandpa even pulled them around in a wagon behind his lawn mower.

Jeremiah got out his fancy camera and took some great shots of the babies. He is very good at photography. Here's Cambria and her adorable curls. I'm so glad she got daddy's hair and not mine!

I love the lighting in this picture of Brynlee

Weston is just all boy! He's rough and tough and always getting into grimy stuff. Here he is exploring grandpa's old cans of rotting screws.
Addison and Cambria--I think that they look a lot alike.
Here's our sweet little lady, Cambria These shots of Addison are so great!

Brynlee and mommy--mommy's smiling in this shot.

At our ward's annual trunk or treat, 4 of the girls in our ward dressed up as our babies for Halloween. I thought it was a very cute idea!

Here are the quads with the Halloween costumed quads

Addison is just so handsome!

Cambria's curls are just beautiful!

Brynlee with our dear friend and adopted aunt-Christi (Such a great costume!)

I'm sure you've all been wondering what our babies were for Halloween. It's almost Christmas and I'm finally getting a post up. We've had computer issues! Believe it or not, Jeremiah and I made them M&M costumes. I sewed the costumes, but Jeremiah had the whole pattern in his head. He even cut out all of the M's. Our first attempt at the costume was a flop. We made a pillow-looking thing that barely fit over the kids' heads because it was so stuffed full of cotton. Then we moved to simplify and I'm so happy that they actually worked out. Everyone wore the color they were assigned at birth. Cambria-pink, Brynlee-yellow, Addison-blue and Weston-green. From birth we always tried to give them bottles and other items in their color to keep their stuff separated.
We had our ward trunk or treat a couple of days before Halloween and the babies loved walking around and Jeremiah and I loved getting lots of candy because of our kids.
Halloween was fun! I don't know if the kids really got it, but it was fun to go trick or treating with them at our neighbors' homes. We were courageous and tried to let them walk around to the doors. It got a bit crazy as they all ran different directions.

The Four Walking Wonders

Weston walking like a pro in his Halloween costume!

Here's a picture of Addison when he was just learning to walk.

I'M SO IRRITATED BECAUSE BLOGGER HASN'T BEEN WORKING ON OUR COMPUTER SINCE I STARTED THIS POST on NOV. 17 and FINALLY IT'S WORKING AGAIN and IT'S DEC. 7th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This post is extremely overdue, but that's how things go around here.

Cambria took her first steps on June 25th at 12 1/2 months and then started walking consistently on August 12th at 14 months.
Brynlee took her first steps on July 14th at 13 months and then started walking consistently on July 28th at 131/2 months.
It's funny how much time passed from the time they took took their first steps to the time when they walked all the time.
Addison took his first steps on August 27th at 14 1/2 months and then began walking consistently on September 4th at almost 15 months.
Weston took his first steps on September 17th at 15 months and then walking consistently on September 28th at 15 1/2 months.

I just love this stage of them all walking. I really think that having them all walk has made things a whole lot easier for me. It's so fun to see them exploring everything now. It gets a bit messy sometimes, but I prefer this to trying to feed four infants in the beginning. I just love seeing their cute little personalities coming out. They are saying so much and doing so many new things every day.

Brynlee and Weston playing in the toy basket

The kids new favorite activity is to climb in the toy baskets to play with their toys. Here are some pictures of Weston and Brynlee doing one of their favorite things.

Addison in the Kitchen Cabinet

One of my kids' favorite activities right now is pulling out all of the plastic plates and Tupperware from the only kitchen cabinet that is not child proofed. One day it was so cute because after the kids had pulled out all of the fun stuff, Addison climbed right in and I found him sitting in the cabinet, very proud of himself. He is our sweet, gentle giant.

Got Milk?

Isn't this picture of Weston cute playing in some spilled milk? He just looks so innocent. Our old sippy cups that we got for free from the Safety First company are just not doing the job anymore now that the kids like to throw them down. The lids keep popping off, so we've switched to the Playtex sippy cups and they're working fine, but all sippy cups leak, no matter what the packaging says.
